Advantech at SPS 2025 – Intelligent and connected ecosystems that drive real-time insights and innovation

Advantech, leading in edge computing and intelligent systems, will be exhibiting at the SPS trade fair, a trade show taking place in Nuremberg (Germany) on November 25-27, 2025. Under the theme “Edge Computing & WISE-Edge in Action”, the company will demonstrate in hall 7, booth 380 how its WISE-Edge platform can unify edge computing, AI, and implementation to enable intelligent, real-time operations in a wide variety of industrial sectors.

“SPS is a key event for Advantech” says Jash Bansidhar, AVP of Industrial Automation Sector, Advantech Europe. “It offers an ideal platform to showcase our innovation in edge computing, AI and industrial IoT.” Bringing together decision-makers, engineers, and system integrators, SPS helps Advantech to demonstrate real-world solutions, and to strengthen partnerships within its growing ecosystem, which includes leading technology partners such as NVIDIA, Intel, AWS and Qualcomm.

According to Jash Bansidhar, today’s customers are looking for more than just technology. “They want us to understand their pain points – and their growth areas. It means moving from being a supplier to becoming a strategic partner. And what makes Advantech unique is that we offer both the hardware and the software expertise to achieve true IT/OT convergence. We cover everything from data acquisition, communication, edge computing, certification and protocol conversion to edge computing and IoT software frameworks, making us a strong enabler of digital transformation.”

Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to explore ten different application areas. These include: Edge AI for digital human interaction on a shop floor; Edge AI for both AMR solutions and the Jetson Thor Platform; Edge controller with Codesys for software-defined automation; how to make brownfield secure and ready for CRA; effortless traceability in smart manufacturing with vision intelligence; and more.

With a booth covering over 143 m2, Advantech will also host a few partners with their own solutions:

  • acontis technologies, a leading provider of EtherCAT Technology, Windows real-time software and Real-Time Hypervisors, will present an Advantech UNO equipped with a real-time hypervisor, showing how different real-time and non-real-time tasks can be combined efficiently on a single system.
  • AMC (Analytik & Messtechnik GmbH Chemnitz), a Value-add Reseller of measurement, control, and automation technology, will showcase its AMC iFactory X, a modular solution for monitoring systems and predictive maintenance, demonstrating data visualisation and analysis capabilities via Advantech’s IoT Suite.
  • Bosch Rexroth will feature its open and app-based operating system ctrlX OS, which can be effectively combined with Advantech’s UNO series of edge IPCs to enable flexible and scalable automation.
  • SALZ Automation, a specialist in tailor-made automation solutions, will highlight its advanced control and software systems designed for applications of any complexity, including Virtual Safety master technology.
  • Xentara, provider of the software-defined automation platform that unifies IT and OT, will present a laser marking cell provided by its customer BenThor. This demo illustrates how combined capabilities can deliver tangible customer benefits such as flexibility, cost efficiency, and innovative integration

During SPS, Advantech will also unveil the new AMAX IoT control platforms, a series of innovative solutions that combine PLC, HMI, and IoT functions into a single software-defined platform, simplifying traditional system integration while ensuring deterministic real-time performance for precision automation applications.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss specific applications and use cases with Advantech’s teams of technical specialists, industry specialists, and product specialists, led by Anis Aroua, Alicja Strzemieczna and Marco Zampolli respectively.

As in previous years, participants are also warmly invited to join Advantech’s traditional wine tasting session at the booth on Wednesday, 26 November, from 3 p.m. onwards. The event will feature local Franconian wines from Weinbau Peter Schmidt of Nuremberg.
