A milestone anniversary is coming up: In 2026, InnoTrans will celebrate its 30th birthday. The 15th edition of the world’s leading international trade fair for transport technology will welcome visitors from 22 to 25 September 2026 at the Berlin exhibition grounds. Berlin will once again become the hotspot for the mobility of tomorrow, where leading minds will exchange ideas on innovative concepts and smart solutions.
Already a year before the event, demand for InnoTrans is once again very high. With 200,000 gross square meters of exhibition space, the trade fair is fully booked. Interest has risen particularly sharply in the Railway Infrastructure segment. The AI Mobility Lab, which premiered at InnoTrans 2024, is also receiving strong attention. This special area will return in 2026 with its own hall, presenting companies and their latest innovations in artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and data protection for transport systems. The AI Mobility Lab will be complemented by a dedicated stage program as well as guided AI Tours, inviting visitors to explore AI-based solutions and products across the entire exhibition.
More International Than Ever
One trend is already clear: the share of international exhibitors continues to grow. More than 200 first-time and returning exhibitors have registered for 2026, primarily from Europe, China, and India.
In addition to Deutsche Bahn as the national rail operator, many international transport companies will also participate, including China Railway; the RTA from the United Arab Emirates; Saudi Railway Company (SAR); the Ministry of Transport from Qatar; Turkish State Railways (TCDD); Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane; Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB); Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP); and the Moroccan National Railways Office.
Numerous international industry associations will also showcase the economic strength of their national rail and mobility sectors, such as the Association of Czech Railway Industry (ACRI), Swissrail, MAFEX from Spain, PFP from Portugal, RIA from Great Britain, ARA from Australia, JORSA from Japan, and KORSIA from Korea.
Countries represented with joint stands include Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, France, Belgium, Finland, Brazil, China, and Japan.
Convention: The InnoTrans Think Tank
With a wide range of high-level panel discussions and expert forums on current and future mobility topics, the InnoTrans Convention has always been a platform for professional exchange. Its centerpiece is the Dialog Forums, which take place daily during the fair at palais.Berlin. These forums are led by the Association of the Bahn Industry in Germany (VDB), the German Transport Forum (DVF), the Association of the European Rail Industry (UNIFE), the German Electrical and Digital Industry Association (ZVEI), and the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV).
In addition, each thematic area of InnoTrans offers further opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange. Whether at the International Design Forum (IDZ), International Bus Forum (DVF), International Tunnel Forum (STUVA), DB Innovation Forum, or Public Transport Forum (ETC), professional visitors can look forward to inspiring speakers and engaging debates.
Meet. Create. Inspire. – The Interactive Flagship Formats of InnoTrans 2026
The supporting program will again include the Mobility Cleaning Circle – a joint dialogue platform with CMS Berlin, the leading trade fair for cleaning and hygiene. This event brings together participants from transport companies and the cleaning industry for cross-sector exchange.
The Railway Influencer Festival will enter its second round and continue to grow. In a festival atmosphere, influencers and bloggers from around the world will connect with invited guests. The InnoTrans website features a selection of trending influencers. A jury will award the Railway Influencer Award in four categories. Alongside “Best InnoTrans Video,” “Best Brand Video,” and “Best Mobility Channel,” the new category “Best Urban Mobility Video” has been added, honoring authentic travel reports and experiences with public transport.
Fresh ideas will also be sparked by the “InnoTrans Hackathon – AI on Track.” Developers, start-ups, and exhibitors will collaborate on AI-based solutions. Companies benefit from direct access to new ideas and talent, while participants can present their concepts to an international audience. The highlight will be the awards ceremony on InnoTrans Friday, where the best teams will be honored.
Meeting Point for the Future: Companies and Tomorrow’s Talent Connect
With the InnoTrans Campus, companies and young professionals come together. The RecruitingLAB provides a dedicated thematic area for this purpose. The Jobwall displays current vacancies from exhibitors – both digitally on InnoTrans Plus and physically in the exhibition halls. On the Talent Stage, exhibitors present their companies in short talks. The Eurailpress Career Boost, following the successful online format in 2025, will return live to the stage, where job seekers from different professions pitch themselves in 90-second sessions.
30 Years of InnoTrans: Looking Back and Ahead
A special highlight awaits with the anniversary: the very first InnoTrans opened on 15 October 1996. To mark its 30th year, the fair will feature retrospectives and highlights from three decades of trade fair history. Those wishing to attend should mark March 2026 in their calendars, as that is when ticket sales will open.
