From November 25 to 27, 2025, LAPP will present innovative products and intelligent solutions for industrial communication and automation at SPS, the leading trade fair for smart and digital automation in Nuremberg. In addition to its established booth 310 in Hall 2, LAPP will exhibit for the first time at a second booth – booth 322 in Hall 10 – dedicated entirely to the company’s extensive connector portfolio. As the global market leader for integrated solutions and branded products in cable and connection technology, LAPP reinforces its commitment to future-ready industrial connectivity.
The transformation of industry continues at full speed: digitalization, networking and automation are driving progress across all sectors. LAPP will demonstrate at SPS 2025 how future-oriented connectivity solutions and intelligent connection systems make networked production more efficient and sustainable – for the first time across two separate booths.
Two Booths, One Goal: Making Automation More Seamless
At the main booth 310 in Hall 2, LAPP will showcase its entire portfolio of services – a broad range of connectivity solutions, including technologies for the automation pyramid and components for the smart factory of tomorrow. Presentations on cloud connectivity, industrial communication, digital inventory management and OT security will provide insights into how LAPP is advancing automation and digitalization in real-world applications. Visitors who prefer a hands-on experience can assemble industrial connectors directly at the workbench and experience how quickly and safely they can be installed. Demonstrations include push-pull systems, the Quickflex rapid-locking system, and the new EPIC® Powerlock.
Just a few steps away, at booth 322 in Hall 10, the family-owned Stuttgart-based company will present its extensive connector portfolio and customized system solutions for industrial communication and control technology. The expanded range of industrial connectors offers virtually unlimited combination possibilities, particularly in the area of patchcords and cordsets.
The Future of Industry Is Sustainable, Connected and Secure
Under the motto “Think Innovatively. Act Sustainably,” LAPP will present futureLab projects featuring materials, products and solution concepts at various stages of development, all aimed at supporting a more sustainable and connected future. LAPP specialists will explain the relationship between conductor cross-section, total operating costs and emissions – as less material does not automatically mean lower costs or reduced CO₂ emissions. The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), now available for an increasing number of LAPP products, is another highlight and marks a major step toward greater transparency along the value chain. A further highlight is the “Predictive Maintenance for ÖLFLEX®” solution, which monitors the condition of power-carrying cables.
In the futureLab, LAPP will also showcase an advanced Asset Administration Shell use case for collaborative engineering developed together with EPLAN. The solution digitalizes and accelerates work preparation and lifecycle management of cable assemblies efficiently and automatically.
Four Expert Presentations on the SPS Stages
LAPP will further demonstrate its forward-looking expertise with four expert talks on the SPS stages. Presentations will cover how the LAPP eKanban IoT system uses Digital Twin Infrastructure and intelligent sensors to automate warehouse processes and ensure material supply in production. Another presentation explains how cloud connectivity unlocks production data, enabling companies to increase efficiency, transparency and competitiveness in automation. Two additional talks will address industrial communication: one on the key quality parameters of Industrial Ethernet patchcords and differences between field requirements and standards, and another on how companies can secure their industrial networks with intelligent components while reducing cyber risks in OT infrastructure.
Secure Communication for All Common Protocol Standards
LAPP will demonstrate that industrial communication networking is not a vision of the future, but already reality. Using a model of a modern smart factory, LAPP will showcase data connectivity in a production-like environment. Numerous experts will be available throughout the trade fair to advise visitors on topics such as Single Pair Ethernet (SPE), Advanced Physical Layer (APL) and cloud connectivity. Visitors can immediately see how the comprehensive LAPP product portfolio functions at every layer of the automation pyramid—from field level to the cloud—and receive guidance on creating efficient and secure industrial communication networks. Another key networking topic is cloud connectivity. LAPP will demonstrate how easily the company’s IO-Link sensors can be connected to cloud and edge systems via standardized IIoT protocols and how the ETHERLINE® GUARD can be used to monitor cable condition.
LAPP will also present numerous new products, underscoring its technological leadership: the new EPIC® M23P connector series ushers in a new era of servo motor connectivity. With the new ÖLFLEX® SERVO FD zeroCM hybrid cables as a one-cable solution, frequency inverters and motors can be connected quickly and error-free. The innovative, fully electrically symmetric cable design significantly reduces EMC interference and allows almost double the installation length. The HITRONIC® BxK and BTxK outdoor fiber-optic cables with high bend resistance expand LAPP’s portfolio with solutions ideal for renewable energy systems and infrastructure projects involving long transmission distances, offering simple installation even in confined spaces without signal loss.
Solutions for Industry, Energy, Mobility and Intralogistics
In real-world applications, the focus is not only on innovative individual components but on complete, integrated solutions. Responding to this need, LAPP will showcase a comprehensive solutions portfolio for key industries including renewable energy, rail technology, automation and robotics, food and beverage, e-mobility, battery technology and intralogistics. Users benefit in particular from LAPP’s expertise in custom harnessing solutions, including tailored assemblies to industrial standards and complex system solutions. Additional services complement the offering and support customers throughout the entire production process.
